Roshin Roy ?
If you din’t know, ‘ Roshin ‘ in Japanese means “Dew Drop Mind”. Its one of the Buddhist names given to students and teachers active within the Zen tradition. Samurais, Ninjas and Ronins used this name that describes the character of clear mind, clear thought etc..
But I am sure my folks never knew that when they named me. They must have wanted to go for a name that stood for ‘light’. The word ‘Roshan’ or ‘Roshni’ means light in Hindi ( the national language of INDIA). Most people think I am a Bengali ‘cuz ‘Roy’ is usually a Bengali surname. Yes, ‘Roy’ is a Bengali surname but I am not a Bengali.
At some point of time, I thought that I was the ONLY one with that name. I started a community on Orkut inviting all those people who had ‘Roshin’ as their first name. I am surprised to see 83 registered users and still counting. If your name is Roshin, I am sure you would come to this site once in your life. If you do, please leave a comment on this page.

i think i am also one in that orkut community, dats how i had a light to the most truthful meaning of mySELF….i always wonder wen people tell mine is a boy name, but i stress and say, which boy has dew drop mind!! well i think its a girl name
and lot of boys have that
